Board of Directors
The independent board of directors is made up of business leaders, teachers, parents and appointees from the Mayor's office,
the School Superintendent's office and the PTO Council.
While NEF maintains a close relationship with the school district and the Board of Education,
it is independent from them; NEF decisions are made solely by the NEF Board.

Staff
NEF is staffed by a full-time professional executive director who manages the day-to-day operation of the foundation,
and by part-time program managers. The executive director reports to the board of directors. All other NEF activities rely on volunteers.
